The Deleware Valley Torah Institute – Mesivta Bais Dovid of Cherry Hill is privileged to have retained the services of Dr. Lyon Hymovitz.  With a wealth of academic and administrative experience and a passion for excellence in education, Dr. Hymovitz is particularly sited to serve as the founding General Studies Principle of the Mesivta.

 Dr. Hymovitz has served as assistant to the District Superintendent, Chairman of the English Department at Olney High School and School Principal at the Harrington, Loesch, and Finletter elementary schools.  He was program and staff developer for the William Penn High School during its formative years, and the president of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Council of Teachers of English.

Dr. Hymovitz is currently a supervisor of student teachers at Rutgers and St. Joseph’s Universities and is President of the Commonwealth Association of School Administrators Retirees in Philadelphia.  He will utilize his vast knowledge and experience to develop curriculum, select qualified and dynamic teachers, oversee daily operations and monitor and evaluate student progress.
